Research Associate, Student Governance
About us. Defund ASUW is a nonpartisan research and advocacy initiative focused on student government accountability in the State of Washington.
About the role. You will contribute to a long-term research project examining the structure, operations, and institutional impact of student government at the University of Washington. Responsibilities are broad and may include document review, public records requests, meeting attendance, data entry, and written analysis.
Qualifications. Currently enrolled UW student. Direct experience with ASUW, as a former or current member, appointee, candidate, or engaged stakeholder, is strongly preferred. Must be able to describe, in specific terms, what motivated your interest in this work. No prior research experience necessary.
Compensation. $25–45 per hour. This is a part-time contract position and does not include health insurance, retirement, or paid time off.
