Research Analyst, Legal
About us. Defund ASUW is a nonpartisan research and advocacy initiative focused on student government accountability in the State of Washington.
About the role. You will support organizational counsel with ongoing research related to public accountability, institutional speech, and advocacy compliance. You will review published materials for legal risk and assist with policy analysis.
Qualifications. Current JD candidate or recent JD graduate. Demonstrated interest in First Amendment law, public figure doctrine, or defamation and privacy torts. Washington state bar admission or familiarity with Washington state law preferred but not required. Law review or journal experience valued.
Compensation. $45–85 per hour. This is a part-time contract position and does not include health insurance, retirement, or paid time off.
