Research Analyst, Finance
About us. Defund ASUW is a nonpartisan research and advocacy initiative focused on student government accountability in the State of Washington.
About the role. You will analyze publicly available budgets, expenditure reports, and fee allocation structures for student governance bodies. You will produce clear, sourced financial summaries for public distribution and assist with the development of student-facing accountability tools.
Qualifications. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in accounting, public policy, public administration, or a related field. CPA candidacy or progress toward CPA preferred. Experience with public sector budgeting, auditing, or policy analysis valued. Comfort working with incomplete or inconsistently formatted financial records.
Compensation. $45–85 per hour. This is a part-time contract position and does not include health insurance, retirement, or paid time off.
